CSG joins Mossberg, Palladyne AI to develop SwarmShot counter-drone system
PDYN•CSG NV, through Federal Ammunition, joined Mossberg and Palladyne AI to develop SwarmShot, an autonomous airborne counter-drone interceptor. The initial configuration is planned as an add-on for Palladyne AI’s Gremlin-X quadcopter; development schedules, customer engagements and financial terms were not disclosed.
1. System development
Federal Ammunition will lead ammunition design, Mossberg will build a lightweight airborne weapon module, and Palladyne AI will provide autonomy software, integration and fire control. The partners aim to develop a reusable close-in kinetic layer to counter low-cost drones, with plans to offer an integration kit to other OEMs.
