CSX Unveils Two High-Horsepower CM44AH Locomotives for 250th Anniversary
CSX•CSX unveiled two commemorative CM44AH locomotives numbered 250 and 2026 to mark America's 250th anniversary, featuring a Stars and Stripes theme on unit 250 and an American bald eagle with “United We Stand” on unit 2026. Both high-horsepower units were painted in Waycross, Georgia and will enter mainline service after a ceremonial Washington, D.C. run.

Unit 250 sports a bold Stars and Stripes motif, while unit 2026 features a bald eagle and the inscription “United We Stand,” underscoring national unity.
