Cushman & Wakefield says India land transactions jump 66% annually since 2021

Outright purchases exceeded 60% of acreage; JV/JD deals increased to 42 in 2025 from 11 in 2021.
India land deals continue to rise
Cushman & Wakefield report shows India land deals rose at a 66% CAGR, reaching 6,181 acres in 2025 from 813 acres in 2021.
Activity stayed elevated in Q1 2026 with 1,194 acres transacted; total since 2021 reached 18,158 acres across 880+ deals.
The transactions imply about 1.4 billion sq. ft. of future built-up area, with estimated revenue potential of USD 176 billion (INR 16.67 trillion).
