CVS Health invested $292M in veteran-owned small businesses in 2025 and launched new military family programs in North Carolina ahead of planned national expansion. It uses its 9,000 retail pharmacies, 1,000 clinics and 88 million PBM members to deliver tailored healthcare access and economic support for veterans and military families.

1. Expanded Support and Veteran Business Investment

CVS Health reaffirmed its long-term support for service members, veterans, families and caregivers by investing $292 million in veteran-owned small businesses in 2025. The company collaborates with organizations such as the Military Family Advisory Network, Elizabeth Dole Foundation and Congressional Medal of Honor Society to develop lifecycle support initiatives.

2. Community-Based Healthcare Programs

The company leverages TRICARE partnerships, MinuteClinics, its network of 9,000 retail pharmacies, over 1,000 clinics and management of 88 million pharmacy benefit members to expand healthcare access, relocation support and tailored community programs. Current pilots in North Carolina include a Pantry Restock Program, Hope For The Warriors support and volunteer-led outreach.

3. Economic and Workforce Development

Through partnerships with Hiring Our Heroes, Hire Heroes USA and the Duke Veterans Transition Research Lab, CVS Health fosters entrepreneurship and career pathways for veterans and military spouses. It also channels supply chain opportunities via NaVOBA, the Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce and other groups to promote long-term economic stability and business growth.
