Cytokinetics publishes presentation on aficamten in nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
CYTK•Cytokinetics published a presentation on aficamten in nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, reporting a 0.67 mL/kg/min least-squares mean difference in peak oxygen uptake versus placebo (P=0.003). The cardiac magnetic resonance substudy enrolled 69 patients, and 61 completed baseline and week 36 scans.
1. Trial findings
Cytokinetics published a presentation on the ACACIA-HCM cardiac magnetic resonance study. It highlighted greater improvements in exercise capacity and health status with aficamten versus placebo in the pivotal Phase 3 trial; peak oxygen uptake showed a least-squares mean difference of 0.67 mL/kg/min (P=0.003). The substudy enrolled 69 patients, of whom 61 (88.4%) completed baseline and week 36 scans.
