DHR•Danaher shares fell 4.8% premarket after the company forecast Q4 adjusted core revenue growth excluding respiratory revenue of 4% to 5%, versus 5.5% in Q3. It raised its full-year adjusted EPS forecast to $8.57-$8.62 from $8.45-$8.60.
Danaher expects Q4 adjusted core revenue excluding respiratory revenue to increase 4% to 5% year over year, compared with Q3 growth of 5.5%. Barclays said the outlook assumes significant conservatism, but management needs to reassure investors the deceleration reflects caution rather than genuine slowing in core businesses.
The company expects full-year adjusted earnings per share of $8.57 to $8.62, versus its previous forecast of $8.45 to $8.60. Q3 revenue was $6.6 billion, in line with estimates; Barclays said the in-line result was light versus expectations, particularly for Biotech growth.
