Daré Bioscience reports Phase 1 data showing 187-fold lower peak plasma sildenafil with 3.6% topical cream vs. oral dose
DARE•Daré Bioscience said its Phase 1 study found peak plasma sildenafil was 187-fold lower with its 3.6% topical cream than with an oral dose.
1. Phase 1 findings
The company said the cream produced much lower systemic drug exposure than oral sildenafil. The safety readout included only mild treatment-emergent adverse events, with no serious events or discontinuations; the data are set for presentation Oct. 9, 2026, at SMSNA.
2. Development plans
Daré said the results underpin plans to advance the program toward an FDA 505(b)(2) filing as a potential treatment for female sexual arousal disorder.
