David Ellison names leadership team for new Paramount-Warner Bros Discovery
PSKY•Paramount Skydance named the executive team for the combined company after its expected acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery closes. The deal is expected to close Tuesday, after which the company is to be called Skydance.
1. Leadership appointments
David Ellison will be chairman and CEO, with former Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz as co-CEO overseeing day-to-day operations. Paramount executives named to senior roles include Andy Gordon as president, Dennis Cinelli as CFO and Makan Delrahim as chief legal officer and president of global corporate affairs.
2. Business and news leaders
The appointments also include HBO and Max Content chief Casey Bloys and Paramount co-CEO George Cheeks as co-chairs and chief content officers for direct-to-consumer and television, respectively. James Gunn and Peter Safran will co-chair DC Studios; Mark Thompson will lead CNN Worldwide, and Bari Weiss will be editor-in-chief of CBS News.
