Dawson Geophysical posted Q2 net loss of USD 3.4 million, or USD 0.11 a share, on revenue of USD 17.9 million.
Revenue climbed 82% from a year earlier; fee revenue rose 60% to USD 14 million.
Adjusted EBITDA (non-GAAP) was USD 0.6 million, marking a fourth straight quarter positive; gross margin rose 6 percentage points to 19%.
Year-to-date performance and operations
Year-to-date net income was USD 4.2 million, or USD 0.14 a share, while fee revenue increased 94% to USD 46.5 million.
The company started a high-density job deploying 70,000 single node channels and said it is investing in compute power to speed data delivery to customers.
