DEFSEC Ships Two BLISS Systems to U.S. Army Yuma Test Center for Testing
DEFSEC has delivered two networked BLISS systems to the U.S. Army Yuma Test Center for evaluation, marking the next phase after last year's BLDS trials. The miniaturized BLISS sensors offer real-time laser detection, pulse signature analysis and shared alerts, enhancing tactical-edge survivability and situational awareness.
1. BLISS Shipment to U.S. Army
On April 29, 2026, DEFSEC shipped two networked BLISS systems to the U.S. Army Yuma Test Center for test and evaluation, representing the next stage following last year’s BLDS deliveries.
2. Advanced Features and Capabilities
The patent-pending BLISS integrates miniaturized sensors that can be mounted on vehicles, fixed infrastructure or personnel, providing real-time laser detection, enhanced pulse signature capture and networked alerts across the battlespace.
3. Evaluation and Strategic Outlook
Army trials at Yuma will assess BLISS’s tactical-edge force protection potential, with DEFSEC scheduled to brief delegations at CANSEC May 27–28; a positive outcome could unlock larger contracts and boost future revenue.
