Denison JV Partner Cosa Plans 2,000m Summer Drill at Darby Project
DNN•Cosa Resources will begin up to 2,000m of summer drilling at the Darby joint venture, where Denison Mines holds a 30% stake. The program will target the Gamma and Bravo trends following winter 2026 anomalous uranium geochemistry and structural intercepts 10km west of the Cigar Lake Mine.
1. Joint Venture Structure
The Darby project is a joint venture between Cosa Resources (70% operator) and Denison Mines (30%), located 10km west of the Cigar Lake Mine in Saskatchewan's eastern Athabasca Basin. Historical drilling has identified multiple prospective conductive trends with weak uranium mineralization, prompting deeper evaluation.
2. Summer Drill Program
The summer 2026 campaign will involve up to 2,000 metres of diamond drilling focused on the Gamma and Bravo trends, following up winter intercepts of anomalous uranium geochemistry, structural offsets and hydrothermal alteration. Gamma drilling will test zones of significant unconformity offset and elevated geochemical readings, while Bravo will target historical structure-proximal mineralization.
3. Next Steps
Drilling at Darby is scheduled to follow completion of a substantial program at the Murphy Lake North joint venture, expected to commence imminently and last at least two months. Results from both projects will refine exploration models and guide further resource definition across Cosa’s eastern Athabasca Basin portfolio.
