Descartes debuts Agent Control Plane at Innovation Forum in Chicago

The AI coordination layer is designed to execute multi-step workflows across applications and trading partners with customer-defined controls and human oversight.

Descartes hosted its three-day Innovation Forum in Chicago, where it debuted the Agent Control Plane, built on the Descartes Global Logistics Network. The system targets multi-step workflow execution across applications and trading partners, with customer-defined guardrails, approvals, human oversight and traceability; management said the launch is part of its AI strategy to reduce manual handoffs, speed responses and protect customer commitments.
