- Destination XL named board chairman Lionel Conacher interim CEO effective Aug. 12, replacing retiring CEO Harvey Kanter on Aug. 11.
- Kanter will step down from the board when he retires.
- Conacher has been on the board since 2018, chairman since 2020; previously managing partner at Next Ventures.
- He also served as senior adviser to Altamont Capital Partners, president and COO at Thomas Weisel Partners, chairman at Wunderlich Securities.
- Lead independent director Carmen Bauza was appointed as Conacher exits the audit committee chair role and the compensation committee.
