Deutsche Bank plans 24/7 payments platform linking tokenized deposits to core rails in APAC and MEA
DB•Deutsche Bank plans an integrated payments architecture across APAC and MEA to enable 24/7 cross-border fund movement, linking tokenized deposits and blockchain platforms with instant payments and legacy rails.
1. Planned payments architecture
Deutsche Bank said it plans to connect instant payments, blockchain platforms, tokenized deposits and legacy rails across APAC and MEA. The goal is 24/7 cross-border fund movement through its interbranch network, including corridors to Germany, broader Europe and the US.
2. Interoperability focus
The strategy is designed to connect blockchain-based liquidity and tokenized money with regulated account access, compliance screening, clearing and final settlement. Plans also include AI-driven routing and expanded tokenized-funding use cases tied to core payment rails for real-time obligations outside standard banking hours.
