Devon Energy posted adjusted EPS of $0.82 in Q4 2025, narrowly missing forecasts by $0.01. Production rose marginally to 851,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, while average realized prices declined to $34.52 per boe from $40.32 a year earlier.

2. 2025 Cash Flow and Shareholder Returns

The company generated $3.1 billion of free cash flow for full-year 2025 and returned $2.2 billion to shareholders through dividends, share repurchases and debt reduction. A quarterly dividend of $0.24 per share was declared, with a March 13 record date and March 31 payment date.

3. Coterra Merger Agreement

Devon Energy agreed to an all-stock merger with Coterra Energy valued at $58 billion, targeting completion in Q2 2027. Management expects $1 billion of annual pretax synergies by the end of 2027 to enhance combined operational efficiency and free cash flow generation.
