Digital Realty Launches 32 MW Malaysia Data Center Campus with Three Connected Sites
DLR•Digital Realty has launched its Malaysia platform in Cyberjaya, planning a 32 MW data center campus across three interconnected sites (1.5 MW, 15 MW and 14 MW) by mid-2028. Integration into PlatformDIGITAL and ServiceFabric links Malaysia to over 300 global data centers, enhancing AI-ready connectivity.
1. Malaysia Platform Launch
Digital Realty unveiled its Malaysia platform in Cyberjaya this June, celebrated by Malaysia’s Minister of Digital and senior government and company executives. This launch anchors Digital Realty’s Asia Pacific expansion and supports Malaysia’s ambition to become a leading regional hub for digital infrastructure and AI-driven workloads.
2. Campus Capacity Expansion
The Cyberjaya campus comprises three interconnected sites totaling 32 MW of IT capacity: KUL10 (1.5 MW operational, with a planned capacity increase of nearly 100% by Q4 2027), KUL11 (15 MW purpose-built for AI and high-performance computing) and a future 14 MW greenfield site slated for mid-2028 completion. All facilities feature dedicated fiber links and energy- and water-efficient designs to support sustainable growth.
3. Integration and Connectivity
Integration into PlatformDIGITAL and ServiceFabric will connect the Malaysia campus to Digital Realty’s network of over 300 data centers across more than 30 countries. Supported by over 40 network service providers and major cloud partners, this setup delivers low-latency, high-performance interconnection for hybrid, data-intensive workloads across Southeast Asia and global markets.
