1. Facility Launch and Campus Expansion

Digital Realty and MC Digital Realty opened the NRT14 data center in Inzai City, Chiba Prefecture, marking the third facility at the NRT campus. The addition brings the campus’s total IT power capacity to nearly 100 MW and underscores the joint venture’s commitment to expanding AI infrastructure in the Tokyo metro area.

2. High-Density Cooling and Certification

NRT14 provides a high-power, high-density environment with hybrid liquid- and air-cooling optimized for next-generation GPUs, supporting up to 150 kW per rack. The facility is among the first in Japan to earn DGX-Ready Data Center certification, enabling stable operation of AI, HPC, machine learning and virtual reality workloads exceeding 100 kW.

3. Sustainability Initiatives

All electricity consumed in NRT14’s colocation halls is matched with 100% renewable energy through non-fossil fuel certificates, reinforcing the joint venture’s decarbonization goals. This renewable energy commitment aligns with broader efforts across MC Digital Realty’s portfolio to reduce environmental impact.

4. Platform Connectivity and Services

NRT14 is integrated into PlatformDIGITAL®, offering access to over 1,100 cloud services and 1,200 network services across 55+ metros. Campus Connect and ServiceFabric® enable seamless rack expansion across the NRT and KIX campuses and interconnection with more than 300 data centers worldwide.
