Disney will launch short-form vertical videos on Disney+ in the U.S. later this year, announced at CES 2026’s Tech + Data Showcase. The service’s new feed will offer personalized clips from original content, social media, and TV shows to drive daily engagement and attract younger viewers.

1. Disney+ to Launch Short-Form Video Content

At its Tech + Data Showcase event at CES 2026, Disney announced that Disney+ will introduce a dedicated short-form video feed in the U.S. later this year. The service plans to feature a mix of original clips, repurposed social media content and memorable scenes from Disney’s extensive TV and film catalog. Erin Teague, EVP of Product Management for Disney Entertainment and ESPN, emphasized that the vertical video experience will be seamlessly integrated with core user behaviors to drive daily engagement and reinforce Disney+ as a must-visit destination.

2. Experiences Segment Remains a Cash Cow

Disney’s Experiences division—dominated by its global theme parks—accounted for 38% of company revenue in fiscal 2025 but delivered nearly 57% of corporate segment profits. While domestic attendance dipped by 1% year-over-year, per capita guest spending rose by 4% and hotel occupancy rates held above 90%. Robust pricing power and strong merchandise and F&B sales continue to support healthy free cash flow generation from parks operations.

3. Brand Strength and Long-Term Conviction

Analysts maintain a ‘strong buy’ view on Disney’s shares based on the company’s enduring intellectual property portfolio and multi-platform distribution engine. Disney’s ability to monetize its franchises across streaming, theatrical, parks and consumer products underpins a diversified revenue stream. With the planned expansion of ad-supported streaming tiers, the rollout of new short-form offerings and continued investment in major franchises, Disney is well positioned to capture incremental value over the next decade.
