Dole is launching a nationwide 125th Pineapple Anniversary campaign with activations on millions of pineapples, rollout of the DOLE® Colada Royale™ variety and digital promotions to boost brand visibility. Commemorative tags, retailer partnerships and licensed product launches during International Pineapple Day aim to drive fresh produce sales and expand shelf share.
1. Anniversary Campaign Launch
Dole Food Company has kicked off its 125th Pineapple Anniversary campaign across the U.S., running from April through June. The initiative includes digital content, special recipes, DIY activities, and a highlight on International Pineapple Day on June 27 to maintain consumer engagement and brand momentum.
2. New Colada Royale™ Variety
The company is rolling out its award-winning DOLE® Colada Royale™ pineapple, bred in Honduras for coconut notes, to select retailers nationwide. This variety, recognized as Best New Fresh Fruit Product of 2026, is expected to attract premium segment consumers and drive price realization.
3. Retail and Partner Activations
Dole has placed commemorative 125th anniversary tags on millions of Royal Hawaiian® pineapples and launched in-store point-of-purchase materials with major retailers. Partner promotions, licensed product launches and events—such as blood drives on International Pineapple Day—aim to boost fresh produce sales and expand retail shelf presence.
