Dolphin’s 42West Sells Out Pan’s Labyrinth 4K Screening, Spurs Top Cannes Activations
DLPN•Dolphin’s subsidiary 42West orchestrated a sold-out 20th anniversary 4K screening of Pan’s Labyrinth at Cannes Classics featuring Guillermo del Toro’s introduction and private reception. It premiered the Bruce Dern documentary, launched the Hola Mamá series at Cannes Market and produced 20 panels at the American Pavilion.
1. Pan’s Labyrinth 20th Anniversary Re-Release
42West executed a sold-out 4K screening of Pan’s Labyrinth in the Cannes Classics section to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary. Guillermo del Toro introduced the restored film and participated in a private reception alongside Cineverse CEO Chris McGurk, highlighting the title’s enduring legacy.
2. Documentary Premieres and Hola Mamá Launch
The Dernsie: The Amazing Life of Bruce Dern documentary debuted at Cannes Classics with a six-minute standing ovation and press events featuring Bruce and Laura Dern. At the Marché du Film, 42West launched the three-part series Hola Mamá, which attracted significant international buyer interest with its exploration of Chile’s Pinochet-era adoptions.
3. American Pavilion Panel Programming
42West produced over 20 panels and talks at the American Pavilion in partnership with IndieWire, featuring filmmakers and executives such as Diego Luna, Gillian Anderson and Arie and Chuko Esiri. The sessions drove discussions on filmmaking’s future and reinforced Dolphin’s leadership in entertainment marketing.
