Domo Introduces Spreadsheet Worksheets, PDF Report Builder and Semantic Layer Enhancements

DOMODOMO

Domo rolled out Worksheets, a spreadsheet-style data interface, Report Builder for PDF beta, Data Models and semantic layer enhancements to streamline modeling and governance in its agent-building platform. The update also includes GA inline chart editing, App Studio enhancements, Google Fonts support, and aligns with the Open Semantic Interchange standard for cross-platform business definitions.

1. Spreadsheet-Native Worksheets

Worksheets, now generally available, embed a spreadsheet-style interface directly into Domo’s platform, letting users explore governed datasets in a familiar grid format. This feature enables self-service data manipulation without altering curated dashboards or applications, preserving enterprise control while boosting analyst agility.

2. Report Builder for PDF in Beta

The new Report Builder for PDF enters beta, offering multi-page report design with full layout control, automated table pagination and scheduled delivery. Combined with existing data permissions, it supports personalized and secure distribution of polished executive reports at scale.

3. Data Models and Semantic Layer Enhancements

Data Models, now in beta, let teams define and reuse dataset relationships across Domo, reducing repetitive logic. Semantic layer upgrades introduce shared business definitions, metadata on calculated fields and a Schema tab for column-level descriptions, ensuring consistent context across reports and dashboards.

4. Additional Platform Improvements and OSI Alignment

General availability of the Inline Chart Editor allows on-dashboard visualization edits, while App Studio adds new KPI components, multi-layer visuals and modern filter controls. Google Fonts support is slated later this year. Domo also reaffirmed support for the Open Semantic Interchange standard to maintain consistent business logic across modern cloud data environments.
