The U.S. Supreme Court upheld a $168 million award in DXC’s 2019 trade-secrets suit, with TCS booking an additional $70 million charge in response.

The U.S. Supreme Court let stand a lower-court ruling awarding DXC $168 million in compensatory and punitive damages from a 2019 trade-secrets lawsuit against Tata Consultancy Services. Following the decision, TCS announced a one-time exceptional charge of $70 million in its next fiscal quarter to cover additional damages, interest and legal costs.
