E-Power Inc. signed a $252 million, three-phase Microgrid Construction & Services Agreement with ZL Bio LLC to scale power capacity at a 6,000-unit greenhouse in Middletown, California from 3MW to 50MW over staged deployments.
2. Phased Capacity Growth and CAPEX Breakdown
Phase 1 mobilizes 3MW for 330 units with $15.12 million CAPEX, Phase 2 adds 6MW to reach 9MW for 997 units at $30.24 million CAPEX and Phase 3 expands to 50MW serving 6,000 units, bringing total CAPEX to approximately $252 million.
3. Technical Solutions and Performance Guarantees
The turnkey EPC contract includes Tier-1 bifacial solar modules and high-safety LFP battery energy storage systems, engineered for instantaneous islanding within 20ms, automated load shedding via a proprietary EMS/SCADA platform and a 99.5% system availability guarantee with solar yield protection.
4. Long-Term O&M Commitment
E-Power will provide 24/7 remote monitoring, quarterly technical inspections and an Emergency Response Service Level Agreement for ongoing operations and maintenance, creating additional recurring revenue and ensuring maximum uptime.
