Eaton Appoints Dan T. Simpson as President of Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions
ETN•Eaton named Dan T. Simpson president, Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions, effective July 6, 2026, reporting to Heath Monesmith. Simpson brings over 30 years of experience, including service as CEO of The Shaw Group and senior leadership roles at Siemens Energy, Dresser-Rand and Honeywell.
1. Appointment Details
Eaton named Dan T. Simpson president, Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions, effective July 6, 2026. In this role, Simpson will lead the global GEIS business and report directly to Heath Monesmith, president and COO of Eaton’s Electrical Sector.
2. Executive Background
Simpson joins Eaton from The Shaw Group, where he served as CEO. He spent over a decade in senior roles at Siemens Energy and Dresser-Rand, oversaw Asia Pacific operations for Honeywell International and began his career in downstream oil and gas engineering with Kellogg Brown & Root.
3. Strategic Division Role
Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions is Eaton’s world-leading unit for safe, reliable and efficient electrical infrastructure. As part of the Electrical Sector, GEIS is central to Eaton’s strategy to capitalize on electrification and digitalization trends and support the company’s $27.4 billion in 2025 revenues.
