Eaton opens UK aerospace additive manufacturing center in European expansion
ETN•UK aerospace additive manufacturing center opens
Eaton opened a European Centre of Additive Manufacturing in the U.K., expanding production-scale aerospace additive manufacturing capacity in Europe.
The site at the Wimborne aerospace campus integrates design, engineering, printing and validation to shorten certified-component lead times for commercial and defense programs.
Supply-chain resilience and future capability upgrades
The expansion targets regional supply-chain resilience through localized output, supporting dual-sourced manufacturing for global aerospace customers.
The facility houses Eaton’s largest metal additive system, aiming to lift throughput for complex, safety-critical parts versus prior platforms.
Eaton plans capability upgrades, including titanium and electron-beam additive processes, while pursuing AS9100 aerospace quality certification.
