Eaton to acquire Italy's COL Group for €810 million to expand in Europe
ETN•Eaton agreed to acquire Italy-based COL Group from Oaktree Capital Management for an enterprise value of €810 million ($923.16 million). The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027.

Eaton said it agreed to buy COL Group from Oaktree Capital Management’s Power Opportunities strategy for an enterprise value of €810 million ($923.16 million). Eaton said the acquisition would expand its power distribution and manufacturing capacity in Europe amid growing demand from data centers and utilities.
2. COL Group profile
COL Group has about 400 employees and facilities in Turin, Milan, Bergamo and Catania. It develops medium-voltage electrical distribution solutions, including switchgears, grid automation technologies and modular power systems, and forecasts 2027 sales of €250 million.
3. Timing and outlook
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027. Eaton expects 2026 adjusted profit of $13.40 to $13.60 per share.
