eBay report highlights Japan-used goods in global resale
eBay published an eBay Main Street report positioning “Used in Japan” as a scalable quality marker for global resale commerce.
The report flagged growth in Japan-based sellers of non-new goods, citing 73% of Japanese sellers selling non-new items in 2025.
Non-new listings from Japanese sellers rose 19% from 2023 to 2025, pointing to accelerating cross-border supply on the platform.
The analysis framed the trend as a lever to extend product lifecycles, support small businesses, stimulate regional economies, and strengthen circular-economy activity.
