EBRD signs green loan with NE Property BV

The EBRD signed a EUR 250 million bilateral green loan with NEPI Rockcastle unit NE Property to fund sustainable real estate investments.

The eight-year senior unsecured facility targets new developments, upgrades and expansions of green retail assets across Central, Southern and Eastern Europe.

The investment is earmarked mainly for projects in Romania, Bulgaria, Poland and Hungary under NEPI Rockcastle’s Green Finance Framework.

Funding also supports a multi-year training program for more than 300 employees focused on digital, AI, cybersecurity and environmental management.

The EBRD classified 100% of the financing as green, aligned with the Paris Agreement.
