ECARX completes acquisition of Flyme software business for RMB 1.8 billion
ECX•ECARX completed an all-cash RMB 1.8 billion purchase of the Flyme software business, bringing Flyme Auto and Flyme OS fully in-house.
1. Acquisition details
The deal transferred 100% of Hubei Qiguang Technology, a DreamSmart carve-out holding Flyme intellectual property, research and development teams, and original equipment manufacturer contracts. The consideration was RMB 1.8 billion, compared with an independent valuation of RMB 1.824 billion as of May 31, 2026. About 70% of the funding came from syndicated bank loans with a 10-year maturity, with the balance from internal sources. ECARX plans a RMB 200 million capital injection, and Flyme will operate as an independent software division.
