TLT•Lagarde says ECB will decide meeting by meeting
BRUSSELS, Sept. 11 (Reuters) - The European Central Bank's governing council will proceed on a meeting by meeting basis using data to make informed decisions in the coming months, the bank's president Christine Lagarde said on Friday, one day after the council decided unanimously to raise its benchmark rate to 2.5%.
“Within the Board of Governors, which brings together 27 people, it was a unanimous decision that was not even challenged by anyone,” she said during an event held in Paris by French bank BPCE.
