Eco Wave Power advances 1 MW Portugal wave energy project as APDL starts Barra do Douro breakwater repairs

Eco Wave Power advanced its planned 1 MW onshore wave energy project in Porto as APDL began rehabilitating the Barra do Douro breakwater.

• Works follow storm damage, affecting the coastal infrastructure designated for the installation, with timing now tied to breakwater completion.
• CEO Inna Braverman will meet APDL in mid-August to align the completion schedule with installation readiness for the first phase.
• APDL agreed to issue a support letter for a request to extend the grid-connection deadline for the 1 MW phase.
• The APDL agreement allows development of up to 20 MW in Portugal, with the 1 MW installation positioned as the initial step.
