Ecopetrol's proven reserves climbed 2.7% to 1,944.2 mmboe at end-2025, marking the highest level in four years and yielding an average reserve life of 7.8 years. Replacement ratio hit 121% with 300 mmboe additions from enhanced recovery in Castilla and Akacias, improved operations at Rubiales and La Cira-Infantas, ANH allocations.

1. Proven Reserves Increase and Reserve Life

Ecopetrol's proven reserves reached 1,944.2 mmboe at the end of 2025, up 2.7% from the prior year and the highest level in four years. The average reserve life stands at 7.8 years, underlining a robust asset base for future production.

2. Record-Breaking Replacement Ratio

The company achieved a 121% reserves replacement ratio by adding 300 mmboe against 248 mmboe of production. This performance highlights effective execution of recovery and development projects, reinforcing long-term sustainability and value generation.

3. Field Projects and ANH Allocations

Additions stemmed from enhanced recovery in the Castilla, Chichimene and Akacias fields, alongside improved operations at Rubiales and La Cira-Infantas. Contracts with the National Hydrocarbons Agency contributed roughly 100 mmboe, further bolstering reserve replenishment.
