Ecowende’s 760MW Offshore Wind Farm Delivers First Power
SHEL•Shell’s Ecowende joint venture has delivered first power from its 760MW Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm to the Dutch grid, marking the start of partial operations. Eneco Wind Offshore Operations will manage day-to-day O&M under a long-term contract as the project ramps up to full capacity.

The Ecowende offshore project, located in Hollandse Kust West, has begun exporting electricity to the Dutch grid with an installed capacity of 760MW. This marks a key commissioning milestone ahead of commercial operations and supports the Netherlands’ renewable energy targets.
2. Ownership Structure and Operations
Ecowende is a joint venture between Shell, Van Oord, and Eneco, with Shell holding a significant equity stake. Eneco Wind Offshore Operations has been contracted for day-to-day operation and maintenance, ensuring reliable performance as the farm scales to its full output.
