1. Edible Garden Completes $3.35 Million NOL Sale

Edible Garden AG Incorporated has finalized the sale of its New Jersey net operating losses under the NJEDA Technology Business Tax Certificate Transfer Program, generating gross proceeds of approximately $3.35 million. The non-dilutive transaction converts previously unused state NOLs and R&D tax credits into immediate liquidity, bolstering the company’s balance sheet without incurring debt or issuing new equity. CEO Jim Kras highlighted that these funds will support ongoing operations, enhance financial flexibility and enable disciplined capital allocation for strategic growth and operational efficiency initiatives.

2. Holiday Sales Increase 26.4% Year-Over-Year

During the December 14–31 holiday selling period, Edible Garden achieved a 26.4% year-over-year rise in preliminary sales. Broad-based growth was driven by cut herbs (+26.7%) and potted herbs (+25.0%), while hydroponic basil grew 16.4% and wheatgrass sales nearly doubled versus the prior year. Condiments and specialty products also posted double-digit gains. The company attributes this performance to expanded distribution—now in over 5,000 retail locations including major chains—and industry-leading fulfillment rates, underscoring its ability to reliably supply fresh, sustainable produce during peak demand.

3. Strengthened Distribution and Operational Capabilities

Edible Garden’s distribution network spans more than 5,000 stores nationwide, supported by partnerships with Walmart, Target, Wakefern/ShopRite and online platforms such as Amazon and PriceSmart. Its vertically integrated greenhouses in New Jersey, Michigan and Iowa, alongside a network of contract growers, enable rapid product delivery and reduced food miles. The proprietary GreenThumb 2.0 software and patented self-watering displays underpin consistent quality and shelf life, further reinforcing the company’s competitive position in controlled environment agriculture.
