Edison International says Q2 2026 core EPS rise reflects GRC decision timing, lower Woolsey interest expense
EIX•Guidance reaffirmed and Woolsey securitization completed
Management reaffirmed 2026 core EPS guidance of $5.90 to $6.20, citing momentum in the capital program and stable operations.
Southern California Edison completed Woolsey Fire cost recovery securitization, generating about $2 billion in proceeds to recover claims and retire related debt.
Q2 core EPS rises on rate-case timing and lower interest expense
Edison International said second-quarter 2026 core earnings per share rose to $1.54 from $0.97 a year earlier, while year-to-date core EPS reached $2.97.
The company said performance reflected stability in core operations, aided by prior-year rate-case outcomes. Results also benefited from lower interest expense tied to Woolsey cost recovery, while parent and other results improved on preferred stock redemptions.
