CMS updates Medicare TAVR coverage policy

Edwards Lifesciences welcomed CMS’ updated national coverage determination for TAVR, citing improved access and greater Heart Team flexibility.

The company said the policy update should support faster evaluation and treatment for aortic stenosis, which Edwards linked to better outcomes and lower costs.

Edwards said implementation is expected to take time and reiterated confidence in its previously issued 2026 financial guidance.

The company said 2027 and longer-term guidance are slated for December at its investor conference.
