EHang partners with Hanoi agency, HungViet to launch EH216-S eVTOL sandbox tests
EH•EHang will supply EH216-S aircraft, operating systems and training support for controlled eVTOL tests at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park. HungViet will fund and staff the project from October 2026, with flights to begin once authorized.
1. Planned sandbox tests
HungViet signed an MOU with Hanoi’s Department of Science and Technology for a regulatory sandbox centered on EHang’s EH216-S aircraft. EHang will provide aircraft, operating systems and personnel training support, while HungViet will fund and staff the project from October 2026 and prepare applications. Test flights are planned at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park once authorization is granted, with phased validation targeting passenger and cargo variants and potential expansion beyond Hanoi.
