Eldorado Gold completed a board leadership reshuffle on July 30, 2026, naming Dan Myerson chair; Steven Reid stepped down as chair, exiting the board.
- Patrick Godin was appointed lead independent director.
- CEO George Burns will retire effective Sept. 30, 2026, staying on the board.
- Christian Milau will become president and CEO effective Sept. 30, 2026, joining the board.
- EVP, general counsel and chief compliance officer Frank Herbert will shift to senior adviser on Sept. 30, 2026, ahead of a planned Q2 2027 retirement.
- Tamiko Ohta will be appointed SVP, legal and general counsel on Sept. 30, 2026; she is currently vice president, legal.
- EVP strategy and CFO Paul Ferneyhough will take oversight of corporate development and legal functions on Sept. 30, 2026.
- Louw Smith will leave on Sept. 30, 2026; Greece operations will move under Niklas Frank, SVP operations, Europe, reporting to EVP and COO Simon Hille.
