Work now centers on financing, government funding talks, feedstock supply, offtake commitments, site selection in the southeastern U.S., and permitting planning.
Capex estimate for first phase
Preliminary capex for the first-phase nickel sulfate plant is set at US$530 million to US$675 million. Nickel metal requires separate estimates.

Initial engineering targets 20,000 tonnes a year of contained nickel output, with modelling pointing to nickel and cobalt recoveries of at least 97%.
