Elixir Energy completes 225 km seismic survey on schedule and budget

EXREXR

Elixir Energy finished its 225 km Teelba 2D seismic survey at ATP2057 in Queensland’s Taroom Trough on schedule and on budget, acquiring 205.4 km inside the permit and 19.3 km of tie-line data. Data processing will span six weeks to underpin a Sproule ERCE 2C gas-condensate estimate and trigger Santos’s 50% farm-in.

1. Completion of Teelba seismic survey

Elixir Energy has completed the 225 km Teelba 2D seismic survey at ATP2057 in Queensland’s Taroom Trough on schedule and on budget. The program acquired 205.4 km within the permit area and 19.3 km of tie-line data to enhance subsurface imaging.

2. Survey scope and specifications

The survey targeted the western Taroom Trough, geologically aligned with the Lorelle-3/3H appraisal well and covering the same Permian hydrocarbon-bearing reservoir package. Modern high-resolution 2D acquisition aimed to delineate prospective gas-condensate structures across key acreage.

3. Data processing and resource assessment

Total Seismic has initiated processing of the acquired 2D volumes with a six-week timeline, prioritizing selected lines to support contingent resource booking. Elixir is working with Sproule ERCE to convert seismic data into a 2C gas-condensate resource estimate.

4. Santos farm-in and strategic impact

Completion of the survey satisfies Phase 1 obligations under the February 2025 farm-in agreement with Santos, which will assume operatorship and a 50% working interest upon delivery. This milestone advances Elixir’s strategic plan for Taroom Trough development.
