Elixir Energy signs APA feasibility deal for 25 km and 50 km gas routes

EXREXR

Elixir Energy signed a feasibility agreement with APA Group to compare 25 km and 50 km pipeline routes for its 40 TJ/d Lorelle pilot project to the Wallumbilla Gas Hub, yielding a Class V capital estimate and Level 1 schedule for pre-FEED. Study results will guide Taroom Trough reserve booking.

1. Elixir secures feasibility agreement

Elixir Energy has executed an Early Works Agreement with APA Group to perform feasibility analysis on delivering gas from its Taroom Trough Lorelle pilot to the Wallumbilla Gas Hub. The study will identify the fastest, most economic option and produce a Class V capital cost estimate alongside a Level 1 schedule.

2. Comparative pipeline routes analysed

The 12-week program will compare a 25-kilometre route north to the Roma to Brisbane Pipeline against a 50-kilometre northwest route directly to Wallumbilla. Capital and operating costs, approvals requirements and serviceability timing will inform selection of the preferred pipeline concept.

3. Path to reserves booking and marketing

Results will underpin a pre-FEED blueprint and feed into reserve booking assessments following the June 2026 Lorelle-3H flow testing. The analysis also considers condensate and light oil production visibility and potential separate marketing pathways into Queensland’s refining market.

4. Teelba 2D seismic survey completed

Separately, Elixir finalised the Teelba 2D seismic survey at ATP 2057 on schedule and within budget, advancing regional prospectivity evaluation across the Taroom Trough acreage managed under the Santos-operated joint venture.
