ERJERJ

Embraer’s firm order backlog reached a record $31.6 billion at end-2025, up 20% year-over-year, while streamlined deliveries and margin expansion support improved free cash flow underpin a 17% upside to a $92.45 price target. The new regional transport aircraft JV with Adani Group in India will localize manufacturing.

1. Record Backlog Reaches $31.6 Billion

Embraer closed 2025 with a firm order backlog of $31.6 billion, marking a 20% increase from the prior year, according to its latest securities filing. The surge in orders was driven by strong demand in both commercial and executive aviation segments, with particular strength noted in regional jet orders from emerging markets. This backlog represents the highest level in the company’s history and provides revenue visibility through 2029, supporting production stability and long-term cash flow projections.

2. Margin Expansion and Free Cash Flow Acceleration

Since September 2022, Embraer has delivered a total shareholder return of nearly 645%, significantly outpacing broader equity markets. Management cites improved operating leverage through streamlined delivery processes and ramped production capacity, particularly in its commercial jet division. Adjusted EBIT margins expanded by 370 basis points year-over-year in the most recent quarter, while free cash flow turned positive for the first time since 2021, reaching $230 million over the last twelve months. These improvements underpin valuation metrics that remain below peer averages, according to independent equity research.

3. Strategic Partnership with Adani Group

Embraer and India’s Adani Group have formalized a joint venture to develop and produce regional transport aircraft domestically in India. The agreement covers the establishment of a manufacturing and assembly facility near Mumbai, targeting a localization rate of 60% within five years. The venture aims to deliver up to 50 regional jets annually by 2028, supporting Adani’s broader ambitions in aviation infrastructure and Embraer’s strategy to diversify production footprints and reduce unit costs through scale and regional supply-chain integration.
