Emerging Markets-LatAm assets set for best day in over three weeks despite Mideast tensions
ILF•Brazil leads regional gains as inflation cools
Currencies in LatAm appreciated against the dollar. Colombia's peso COP= strengthened 1.2% to its highest level since January 2020. It was headed for its eighth consecutive week of gains, its longest winning streak since August.
Local stocks .COLCAP inched 0.1% higher.
Meanwhile, Brazilian equities .BVSP outperformed peers with a 2.8% gain. Financial stocks provided a boost, with Banco Bradesco BBDC4.SA up 4.2% and Itau Unibanco ITUB4.SA gaining 3.7%.
