Emmaus Life Sciences signs option deal with Cedars-Sinai to evaluate L-glutamine in pancreatic cancer trial

Emmaus Life Sciences entered an exclusive option agreement with Cedars-Sinai to evaluate L-glutamine with chemotherapy for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

Results were already presented via publication of the GlutaPanc trial in Nature Cancer.

Work will assess whether the combination can improve treatment outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients, with safety and efficacy not yet established.

The agreement signals a strategic push beyond sickle cell disease into oncology, with regulatory approval for this use not assured.
