Empire State Realty Trust Wins Second WELL Health-Safety Award and Launches Kids’ Party Package
Empire State Realty Trust won the WELL Health-Safety Leadership Award again and secured the Healthy Building Catalyst Award for its 10.1 million sq ft New York properties. It introduced a children’s birthday party package at the Empire State Building observatory, offering private space, tours and catering to drive revenue.
1. WELL Health-Safety Leadership Award
Empire State Realty Trust’s New York portfolio, spanning about 10.1 million square feet, earned the WELL Health-Safety Leadership Award for the second consecutive year, recognizing its rigorous air quality, cleaning and emergency preparedness protocols under the International WELL Building Institute’s 2025 program. This achievement underscores ESRT’s consistent adherence to high benchmarks across its office and retail assets.
2. Healthy Building Catalyst Award
ESRT also secured the Healthy Building Catalyst Award by implementing advanced health and wellness features—including pathogen mitigation technologies, touchless entry systems and enhanced ventilation—across its Manhattan holdings. The award highlights ESRT’s commitment to tenant well-being and sustainable property management practices.
3. New Birthday Package Offering
The Empire State Building Observatory rolled out its first-ever children’s birthday party package, featuring private event space on the 86th floor, guided building tours, themed activities and catering options. This new service aims to diversify revenue streams by attracting family events and expanding the observatory’s experiential hospitality offerings.
