Endeavour Silver Appoints George Paspalas, Names Luis Castro COO and Gord Bussieres VP Projects
George Paspalas joined Endeavour Silver’s Board on March 1, 2026, as Don Gray prepares to retire as COO on April 30, 2026, with long-time executive Luis Castro set to assume the COO role effective March 1. Gord Bussieres becomes Vice President, Projects, leading feasibility and construction for Pitarrilla development assets.
1. Board Appointment
George Paspalas was appointed to the Board of Directors effective March 1, 2026, bringing more than 40 years of international mining leadership including his tenure as CEO of MAG Silver and oversight of high-grade projects like Juanicipio.
2. COO Succession
Don Gray will retire as Chief Operating Officer on April 30, 2026; he oversaw development of the Terronera mine and initial planning for Pitarrilla. Luis Castro, a 22-year company veteran and former Senior Vice President, Exploration, will become COO effective March 1, 2026, signaling continuity in operational leadership.
3. VP Projects Appointment
Gord Bussieres joins as Vice President, Projects, responsible for advancing Endeavour’s development pipeline through feasibility studies and construction phases. With over 40 years at JDS Energy & Mining, he has led large-scale mining projects worldwide and will focus on Pitarrilla and other assets.
