EnerSys has introduced the AlphaCell 4.0HP+ series, a Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) battery designed for outdoor and edge communications network power systems across North America. Manufactured to maintain stable performance under variable environmental conditions, it targets operators expanding cable broadband and telecom infrastructures in outdoor enclosures.

The AlphaCell 4.0HP+ battery incorporates an integrated catalyst to promote internal gas recombination during float operation, lowering float current demand and reducing water loss under sustained elevated temperatures. Internal testing indicates improved performance retention compared to non-catalyst TPPL designs, enabling more predictable service life in hard-to-access deployment sites.

EnerSys supports the AlphaCell 4.0HP+ with a six-year warranty, underscoring confidence in its lifecycle stability and reducing cost uncertainty for network operators. The extended warranty aligns with the product’s design to mitigate premature replacements driven by environmental stress.
