Enphase published a technical white paper on its Kestrel ASIC, a fifth-generation custom silicon platform for intelligent power conversion.
Kestrel is built on a 22 nm process. It targets reuse across microinverters, IQ Battery systems, the IQ Bidirectional EV Charger, and the IQ Solid-State Transformer.
The paper links Kestrel to sub-1 ms transient response for dynamic AI data center loads, aiming to reduce near-rack energy buffering needs.
