1. Product Launch and Specifications
Enphase Energy launched the IQ9N microinverters on June 5, 2026 across nine European countries including France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Each unit delivers 427 VA of continuous AC output and supports 16 A DC input, maintaining 97.44% EU weighted efficiency through an operating range of –40 °C to 65 °C. These microinverters carry an industry-leading 25-year warranty.
2. GaN Technology Benefits
Built with gallium nitride architecture, the IQ9N reduces conduction losses and heat generation, allowing peak efficiencies of up to 97.95%. Cooler operation enhances long-term reliability, while engineering tests confirm sustained performance under partial shading and extreme temperatures. Built-in rapid shutdown capability meets rigorous grid safety standards.
3. Compatibility and Installation
IQ9N units are backward compatible with existing IQ7 and IQ8 microinverters and integrate seamlessly with Enphase IQ® Batteries, simplifying system upgrades for homeowners. The all-AC distributed architecture eliminates high-voltage DC runs and enables panel-level monitoring and over-the-air updates via the Enphase App. This design ensures continuous production even if individual panels are shaded or offline.
4. Market Rollout and Availability
Shipments began on June 5 through Enphase distribution partners in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany and Luxembourg, with global expansion planned in coming months. Installer feedback highlights improved yields under low-light and demanding weather conditions. The rollout is positioned to accelerate residential solar system upgrades and support revenue growth.
