Enphase Opens Pre-Orders for GaN IQ9S-3P with 548 VA Output, 770 W Panel Support

ENPHENPH

Enphase Energy launched U.S. pre-orders for its IQ9S-3P commercial microinverter, featuring GaN technology, 548 VA continuous output and support for 600–770 W panels with 97.5% efficiency. The three-phase 480Y/277 V device offers 18 A DC, FEOC compliance, Buy America eligibility and a 25-year warranty, with shipments starting June 2026.

1. Product Features

The IQ9S-3P commercial microinverter integrates advanced gallium nitride (GaN) components to deliver up to 548 VA of continuous AC power and handle 18 A of continuous DC current. It supports high-wattage solar modules from 600 W to 770 W, connects directly to three-phase 480Y/277 V grids without external transformers and achieves a CEC-weighted efficiency of 97.5%.

2. Market Positioning

By expanding its commercial portfolio alongside the IQ9N-3P model, Enphase targets large-scale rooftop and ground-mount projects in the U.S. 480 V three-phase segment, enabling developers to optimize DC/AC ratios and maximize energy yield with fewer inverters. The higher power density addresses trends in panel wattages exceeding 700 W, enhancing system economics for commercial installations.

3. Availability and Incentives

U.S. distribution partners are accepting pre-orders ahead of June 2026 production shipments, allowing customers to safe-harbor equipment for upcoming federal tax credit deadlines. IQ9S-3P units manufactured domestically meet FEOC requirements and Buy America Act standards, potentially qualifying projects for domestic content bonus credits under IRS Notice 2025-08.
